Divine Providence Early Childhood Program provides a nurturing, well rounded education. The staff of the pre-kindergarten team strives through age appropriate activities to help foster the growth of each child.  The program helps students gain confidence in all that they do and say.   Many opportunities are available for parent participation.

Religion
Students learn about God and Jesus through songs, stories and simple prayers.

Social Studies
Students will recognize seasons, weather changes and environmental changes.  They will also learn the importance of asking questions.

Language Arts/Reading
Though the Rowland Reading Program (Happily Ever After) students will begin to recognize letters and sounds, describe events and characters, and listen attentively to a story.

Mathematics
Student’s math skills are acquired through graphing, counting, number recognition, sorting and an introduction of shapes and colors.

Science
Students use hand-on activities to explore science in the world around them.  They will learn through predicting, observing, questions and explaining.

Technology and Reference Skills
Though the use of computers, projections and software tools, children will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of computer software and hardware in a very creative and self-expressed fashion.
