FAQ


What are school hours?
Kindergarten through 8th grade attends school Monday through Friday from 8:20am until 2:50pm.

Preschool (3 year old) students attend school either:

  • Monday through Friday from 8:20am until 2:45pm (full-day), or
  • Monday through Friday from 8:20am until 11:30pm (partial-day), or
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:20am until 2:45pm (full-day), or
  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:20am until 11:30pm (partial day).


Pre-Kindergarten (4 year old) students attend school either:

  • Monday through Friday from 8:20am until 2:45pm (full-day), or
  • Monday through Friday from 8:20am until 11:30pm (partial-day).


What child care is available before or after school?


DP has an Extended Day program that opens every school day at 7:00am until school begins and re-opens after school until 6:00pm.  The cost is $25.00 for an annual family registration fee and then an hourly rate of $5.00 per child.

What extra-curricular activities does the school offer?

  • Student in 3rd through 8th grades may become altar servers.
  • Student in 4th through 8th grades may join the band, choir and student council.
  • Students in 5th through 8th grades may join peer mediation.
  • Students in 5th through 8th grades may participate in organized sports including:  co-ed soccer, boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, girls’ volleyball and/or cheerleading.
  • Students in 7th and 8th grades are involved in Junior High Youth Ministry.


What are opportunities for parent to join in the school?
All parents are members of the Family School Association (FSA).  In addition, parents may volunteer to coach sports teams, become room parents, participate in field trips, etc.  Weekly volunteer opportunities are sent home to parents.

What high schools do graduates of Divine Providence attend?

Most students attend Catholic High Schools including: Fenwick High School, Immaculate Conception High School, Montini High School, Nazareth Academy, St. Joseph High School and Trinity High School.
